Tanzania Standard Newspapers

Employees of the Tanzania Standard Newspapers (TSN) participated in the International Workers’ Day (May Day) celebrations held at Mnazi Mmoja grounds in  Dar es Salaam Region.

The Honorable Guest was the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Hon. Albert Chalamila, who urged workers to perform their duties with diligence, knowledge, and strong commitment in order to contribute in building a strong and prosperous nation.

Hon. Chalamila said:
“I urge every employee, whether in the public or private sector, to work diligently and apply their knowledge to build our country and achieve positive results across all sectors. This year’s May Day theme clearly explains everything, and I believe everyone will take it into consideration.”

International Workers’ Day is commemorated annually on May 1. This year, the national celebrations were held in Njombe Region, officiated by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan.

The National theme for this year is:
“Decent Work is a Strong Pillar for Sustainable Development in the Implementation of the National Vision 2050.”
