Chiefs from Morogoro Region, led by the Chairperson of the Council of Chiefs, Mtwa Mlenge Pakalapakala from the Malinyi Chiefdom, visited the Tanzania Standard Newspapers (TSN) exhibition booth during the Fourth National Cultural Festival 2026 at Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro.

During the visit, the chiefs had an opportunity to learn more about TSN's mandate, services, and various activities carried out through its media outlets and digital platforms.

Speaking during the visit, the Chairperson of the Council of Chiefs, Mtwa Mlenge Pakalapakala, encouraged TSN to establish a dedicated platform that would enable chiefs to work with the company in providing the public, particularly young people, with education and information on cultural matters.

He noted that when history, traditions, and cultural heritage are properly documented and disseminated through media platforms, such information can serve as an important record for present and future generations.

The chiefs also commended TSN for continuing to serve as a bridge between the Government and the public through the provision of news and information. They further encouraged the company to continue embracing innovation in developing quality and engaging content that can be accessed and appreciated by audiences across different age groups.

The visit highlighted the importance of collaboration between media organizations and cultural stakeholders in preserving, promoting, and passing Tanzania's rich history and cultural heritage on to future generations.
