Members of the Special Committee for the Establishment of the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) Museum, led by Mr. Franco Mwakatage, visited Tanzania Standard Newspapers (TSN) on July 17, 2026, to discuss collaboration in accessing historical archives and documents to support the establishment of the TPA Museum.
Speaking during the visit, Mr. Mwakatage said TSN preserves valuable historical records that can make a significant contribution to the success of the project. He noted that the strong working relationship between TPA and TSN gives him confidence that the process of establishing the museum will be successfully accomplished.
On behalf of TSN, the Director of Business Development, Ms. Soter Salema, who chaired the meeting, assured the delegation of the company's full cooperation in providing access to the historical records and documents required for the project.
Ms. Salema added that TSN will continue to strengthen its partnership with TPA and emphasized that the company's doors remain open for continued discussions aimed at ensuring the successful implementation of this important initiative to preserve the history of Tanzania's port sector.
