The Regional Commissioner of Morogoro, Hon. Adam Malima, has officially launched the Fourth National Cultural Festival 2026, taking place at Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro Region, with the aim of showcasing and promoting Tanzania’s rich cultural heritage.

Prior to the official launch, Hon. Malima visited various exhibition booths hosted by institutions and stakeholders participating in the festival, where he had the opportunity to learn about the services, products and activities being showcased.

At the Tanzania Standard Newspapers (TSN) booth, Hon. Malima received information about the company’s services, particularly its digital newspaper platforms and efforts to leverage technology to make news and information more accessible to the public.

Hon. Malima commended TSN for its efforts to increase readership across its digital platforms and encouraged the company to continue investing in innovation and strengthening digital content distribution to reach a wider audience, including communities that were previously difficult to reach.

“You have mentioned subscribers, which is a good thing. Continue increasing your efforts so that the number of readers grows, including in areas where the newspaper previously did not reach. This is the right time to reach them,” Hon. Malima said.

He further urged TSN to strengthen its publicity and public awareness efforts by showcasing the wide range of services and activities undertaken by the company, noting that TSN is doing significant work that is not yet sufficiently known by the public.

The festival has brought together various institutions, Government agencies, Ministries and regions, providing a platform to showcase Tanzania’s diverse cultural heritage through traditional foods, herbal medicines, clothing, customs and traditions found across different parts of the country.
